Dr. Joy Murphy graduated with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Pre-Law from the University of South Florida in 2014. Following that, Dr. Murphy delved into the world of event coordination, orchestrating over 1000 weddings in the vibrant Tampa Bay Area. However, her path took a transformative turn when she decided to pursue her passion for physical therapy.
In 2023, Dr. Murphy earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Clearwater, Florida. Alongside her studies, she served as the clinic coordinator for the Nova Southeastern University Shark Motion Clinic, a student-led pro bono initiative collaborating with two Tampa Bay clinics to extend physical therapy services to underserved communities.
Dr. Murphy’s journey took her through various clinical rotations and exposed her to diverse environments, including outpatient orthopedic clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health settings across New Jersey, New York City, and Tampa, Florida. Through these experiences, she had the privilege of working with patients facing diverse challenges, spanning from pre/post-operative conditions and sports injuries to neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, Stroke, and Spinal Cord Injuries, as well as cardiopulmonary conditions like Myocardial Infarction and COPD.
Dr. Murphy’s approach to physical therapy is rooted in integrating evidence-based academic knowledge, clinical expertise, and genuine empathy. She is dedicated to providing personalized care aimed at optimizing overall health and well-being, with a steadfast commitment to transforming lives through the power of physical therapy

Hey so it was showing that provider is available but the office called me 45 mins before appointment oh we don’t follow zodoc appointments the dr already left and i was like why you are on zodoc then and also according zodoc she take my insurance but she said that no we will do cash price and i was confused either zodoc is incorrect or the information she provided zodoc is wrong needs to take action against this
