Judy Thomas has a master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In addition to her training as a mental health counselor, she has 25 years of experience as an educator. Her experiences working with children and parents have offered additional insight into her work with clients.
At times, circumstances in life can be difficult to navigate on our own. Judy walks alongside her clients as they face these challenges, offering support and empowering each client to live their life to the fullest. Providing a safe environment and building a warm, trusting relationship with each client is of high importance to her. She aims to help clients increase their self-awareness and understanding of their environment, guiding them to make the changes they desire in their lives and relationships.
Judy enjoys working with individuals (18+). Using a collaborative approach, she helps clients address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion regulation, relationship problems, grief and loss, ADHD, and life transitions. As Judy develops a treatment plan that is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, she draws on evidence-based treatments such as ACT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. Through the use of compassion, care, and humor, Judy will help you explore your issues and learn strategies to cope with your circumstances and begin the healing process.
