I am a blessed man, still working to keep up to date to provide competent professional services and fulfilling my childhood dream of being a doctor.My life experiences have been rich, no doubt much different than most of us, since life, and living a good life, is not easy.
Most of my referrals, other than this my first attempt at internet referrals, have come from previous patients. Some presented with complex and symptomatic behavioral experiences, related some to troubled personal relationships. Others, of course, come with serious mental illness and complicated mental and medical problems. The first appointment focuses on the doctor patient-relationship. Do we fit? Medications are always an issue, but primarily the decision rests on the feasibility of psychotherapy.
The practice of medicine has changed from when I started until now. This issue of insurance corporations, hospital corporations, and government goals has complicated providing professional services decided by the doctor and the patient. Therefore, I have resigned from all of the insurance panels I had once been on and all hospitals appointments that necessitate insurance because of the outrageous expense. I now limit my practice to agreeable outpatient appointments, and make every effort to avoid the need of inpatient treatment. This is old fashioned, but in all in our mutual best interest. In addition, the Medicare patients can be seen only on a fee-for-service private contract basis and they agree not to file for or accept their Medicare benefits.

I always walk out of Dr. Bohnn's visit with a clearer perspective than when I walked in. His ability to analyze my behavior and reactions towards situations in my life, guide me towards finding clearer paths.
