Junyu Chen, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
107-12 Queens Boulevard, Queens, NY
June was an OB/GYN in China before immigrating with her family to the U.S. She has enjoyed working and studying since moving here. She earned her master's degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Queens College, followed by completing the clinical laboratory science program at Stony Brook University. Since 2010, she first worked as a licensed NYS clinical laboratory scientist at North Shore-LIJ University Hospital, and later as a clinical laboratory acting supervisor at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Queens. Although her career as a clinical laboratory scientist went smoothly, June still missed the feeling of seeing and treating patients. She decided to advance her medical career by becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University. During her last clinical rotation specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy, June treated both male and female patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions. Building on her master's degree in chemistry and biochemistry, her transition began with ECFMG certification, followed by studies in clinical laboratory science and physical therapy. June is very interested in becoming a pelvic floor therapy specialist by combining her medical training in China with her physical therapy training in the U.S. In her spare time, June pursues various hobbies, including learning art at Hunter College, especially focusing on drawing and painting, and spending time outdoors camping, fishing, and traveling.
