More about Dr. Karan Patel, PT, DPT
Karan graduated from Rutgers University – New Brunswick in 2017 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He then went on to achieve a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University – Newark in 2021. During his graduate career, he developed a strong interest in orthopedic rehabilitation and was able to expandupon his skills during his numerous clinical affiliations and while treating patients at Rutgers’ own probono clinic in Newark, NJ.
Karan first developed an interest in physical therapy working as a physical therapy aide while in college. He became inspired by the way physical therapists were able to positively impact a person’s life through movement and exercise. The field became the perfect avenue to satisfy his interest in science, the human body, and assisting others.
In his spare time Karan enjoys being active and does his best to preach the life-long motto he has developed throughout his studies - “Movement is Medicine.” In addition to exercising several times a week, he enjoys activities such as snowboarding, swimming, hiking and enjoying quality time with his family and friends.
