She is very professional, I Love her she explained things to you so you can understand, I Like the fact that she is willing to do all she can to help you feel better, I am please with my first visit looking forward to my continuing visits and even if it don't continue because of my insurance may want to denied me, I will still recommend people to her I already told a friend and will tell others, my back feel a lot better than this morning.

Dr. Karen Thernelan is the President and CEO of Prime Physique Physical Therapy. She is a board certified NYS Physical Therapist. She obtained her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from New York University. She obtained her B.S. in Biology from the City College of New York. Dr. Thernelan enjoys providing personalized treatment for orthopedic and neuromuscular related conditions. She also is certified as an ergonomic specialist; hence understands the importance of proper biomechanics and injury prevention.
Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, Dr. Thernelan taught High School level Biology and Chemistry lectures and labs, along with health/hygiene. She has always had a passion for educating and helping members of the community. She is proud to also be active in the community, by participating in workshops and healthfairs; with the goal of empowerment and independence with functional exercise, wellness, and all mobility. Her passion has extended to electrodiagnostic medical testing of the growing population of patients complaining of pain in the neck/back/extremities; and numbness in the hands and feet.

She was extremely welcoming and friendly. Her facility smelled beautiful and was warm and comfortable. She spoke with confidence and knowledge of her speciality but never over my head. She gave me the reality about my condition (scar tissue in both my Achilles tendons) and set an aggressive schedule to deal with it -- all with the intention of getting back up and running (literally). The urgency that she is approaching it matches my urgency to get back to running. There's nothing like finding a doctor who is as committed to you getting better as you are. She's a TRUE find. I HIGHLY recommend

There was a short wait, but this was only because she was giving careful attention to her other patients. When it was my turn, she was very engage and a good listener. She was able to assess my pain quickly and we brainstormed together ways to solve the problem in the short and long term.
