About Dr. Amr Elbegrmi
Dr. Amr is a Physical Therapist with 15 years of experience in orthopedic and sports injuries. He is a former professional soccer player who competed in the Division 1 Egyptian League and currently plays in the Division 1 Cosmopolitan League in New York. He completed a two-year Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Touro University and earned Certification in Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy (CAOPT).
Dr. Amr also holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican University in Blauvelt, NY. He has always aimed to combine his experience as an athlete with his expertise as a Physical Therapist to help his patients return to their prior level of function.
In 2009, he worked as a Physical Therapist for FIFA (F?d?ration Internationale de Football Association) during the U-20 World Cup, treating high-level soccer players. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide variety of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation for shoulder, knee, and ankle surgeries, as well as cardiopulmonary and neurological conditions, helping patients regain their function.

So happy I found a doctor who can help fix my neck and back! Office is brand new, clean and up-to date! Upon arrival the receptionist knew who I was and informed me that all documents were received, and insurance had cleared the visits. Immediately after I was seen by the therapist who knew exactly what I needed. The heating pad and massage was amazing. Felt so much better from the pain when I walked out of the office.

The establishment is very clean and updated to make you feel comfortable. Before engaging in any of the physical therapy activities, he clearly stated what kind of therapy he was going to do and what their purpose was. Very pleasant and professional. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a good physical therapist.

I began seeing Amr after a back pain flare up, and have continued for a few weeks now. The office is nice and clean, the staff friendly and professional. Amr has been considerate and willing to explain his treatments, which have been gentle but still effective. The recommended exercises are simple and helpful.

I have been to many PTs due to repeated sports injuries. I was often frustrated with the rushed approach to treatment and lack of progress or guidance on what I really need to do as a patient. I started going to Dr. Amr a few years back and hasn’t switched PT ever since. You can tell that he has experience working with world class athletes (he was apparently part of FIFA’s 2010 World Cup medical team). I would highly recommend Dr. Amr.

You're in excellent hands with Amr, genuinely good person who is soley focused and cares about getting you healthy once again. Part of his program is Teaching you how to maintain health and those lessons last.
I went to see him due to knee, hip, and foot ailments, and all have been healing nicely, so I can continue to live my active lifestyle. And minimize getting hurt again.

Amr helped me recover from 6 month long chronic ankle injury. His daily recommended exercises and weekly in-person sessions helped me gain back the original strength quickly.

Amr recently treated a severe sports hamstring tear for me. He provided fantastic care, showing great medical and sporting knowledge. he also really helped with my recover mentally - as this was a challenging time for me as I missed a lot of important games. I would 100% recommend Amr to anyone looking for physical therapy!!
