More about Katherine Rostron, PT
Katie moved to Texas from Wisconsin in 2019. A native of the Midwest, Katie grew up in a suburb of Chicago and completed her schooling in Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College in 2010 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Carroll University in 2014. Katie originally started as an Inpatient Physical Therapist at a Critical Care Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, where she worked with a variety of patients, including orthopedic post-op, general medicine, post-amputee, and ICU care. In 2015, Katie transitioned to Outpatient Physical Therapy. After several years at this clinic, she began traveling as a Physical Therapist in a variety of settings before settling in the Houston area. Katie joined ProActive Physical Therapy in December 2020 as Director of the Woodlands location.
Katie’s treatment philosophy centers around a patient-specific approach, assessing the patient as a whole while considering not only their physical health but also their psychosocial well-being. She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions such as general orthopedic injuries, post-op treatment, generalized weakness, geriatrics, and balance, concussion, and vertigo conditions. She strives to develop treatment plans that incorporate her patients’ primary concerns and goals, encouraging them to take an active role in their individualized care. Katie implements a variety of treatment methods to help her patients regain or improve full function. She is dedicated to providing the best care possible to assist her patients in improving their functional independence and overall quality of life.
