Hi there! I'm Kelsey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to providing individual and family counseling. Originally from Georgia, I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2017 from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. My journey into Social Work was driven by a deep passion for helping others, and I quickly found that counseling was the best way for me to make a meaningful impact. Throughout my clinical career, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults, gaining a wide range of experience. My specialties include trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, behavioral and emotional distress, anger management, stress management, anxiety, depression, and conflict management. I have received specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which equips me to support clients through various challenges. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and systems-focused. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their concerns and work towards realistic goals. Whether you're dealing with past trauma, navigating grief, managing stress or anxiety, or facing any other emotional or behavioral challenges, I'm here to support you every step of the way. I believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship and am committed to helping you harness your strengths to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth.
