Hi please call my office before scheduling as we offer complimentary sessions (646) 781-8887 My name is Kerry-Ann Richards and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New York and New Jersey. I graduated from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY with my Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a concentration in child and family studies. I earned a master’s degree in social work from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
I have over 15 years of experience working with families of children that were subjected to neglect and abuse; separating and divorcing families; adolescents with behavioral issues; and individuals dealing with substance use issues. I specialize in the following treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Multisystemic Family Therapy (MFT), Reunification Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy (SFT).
My focus is to provide a safe, confidential, supportive, compassionate and balanced experience to individuals, couples, and families. I can help you resolve issues such as anxiety, crisis intervention, depression, family issues, sexual abuse, trauma, child abuse/neglect, peer issues, and self-esteem.
