With almost 30 years of experience in the field of behavioral health, I've found that impactful therapy is based on trust, caring, respect, and a willingness to forge new paths. I consider it a privilege to journey with every one of my clients, so if you are ready to build an emotionally/mentally/physically healthier you, let's take the first steps together.
My back story started in H.S. when I was awarded peer counselor of the year at the age of 15. I decided to pursue a Bachelors in Psychology at The University of South Florida and went on to earn my Masters of Social Work (MSW) at Virginia Commonwealth University. Over the years, I've worked as a child and family therapist, an individual therapist with clients of all ages, and I've also facilitated a wide variety of support groups. When engaging in therapy, there is nothing better for me than when a client experiences an "aha" eureka effect moment! After identifying defense mechanisms and sifting through lessons learned, there are those golden insights that dawn on the client and oftentimes bring about new understanding and a sense of closure. Those are truly wonderful moments!
