Hello, I'm Kimmie, a dedicated counselor passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. I work with clients of all ages to heal from various life circumstances that have kept them from living their most authentic lives through a trauma-informed approach. I hold a Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Throughout my career, I've honed my skills in providing compassionate support to children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with a diverse range of mental health challenges. My expertise lies in trauma-informed care and helping clients process adverse experiences. I am trained in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy). My therapeutic philosophy centers around a client-centered approach, firmly believing that each client is the expert in their own life. In our sessions, I incorporate therapeutic interventions such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to individualize your treatment plan to your specific needs. My empathetic nature and active listening skills create a safe space for you to explore your feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
