She cares deeply about providing effective care and invests time outside of her sessions to read and educate herself on unique client problems. She works hard to ground herself before sessions, regularly checks in with her clients about how treatment is working in the here and now, and maintaining flexibility for what her clients are experiencing week-to-week balanced with long-term goals. She sees DBT as a treatment which gives individuals mastery in navigating a variety of problems, reducing overwhelming feelings, and coming into their own power in problem-solving and learning to trust themselves. Kylie spends her time off in quiet, intentional activities such as reading, making art, and spending time in nature.
