Hello! I’m Laura, and I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 1997 after earning my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide variety of individuals and addressing many different issues, including anxiety, grief and loss, depression, PTSD, addiction/substance abuse, adjustment disorders, anger management, and couples therapy. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is seeing the “light” return to someone’s eyes as they begin to feel heard, understood, and supported.
As a mother of five children, I understand the challenges of raising a family while building and maintaining a career. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for finding a healthy life/work/family balance.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy visiting flea markets, cooking, and spending time with my family in the great outdoors. I believe in the importance of nurturing this balance to foster overall well-being.
As a therapist, I strive to meet each individual where they are. I listen intently and offer supportive feedback, helping clients explore their past experiences and develop effective coping strategies. Together, we work toward living a life that feels fulfilling, empowered, and true to themselves.
