Laura Novak has been practicing as a physical therapist in the outpatient orthopedic setting for 13 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, and earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She has managed small and large clinics, while also taking on teaching clinical skills to physical therapy students. Her treatment approach focuses on manual joint mobilization, nerve flossing/mobilizations, and functional exercise in order to return patients back to doing what they love to do. She recently obtained a certification in the McKenzie approach, which focuses on active patient involvement and education. She is also certified in Astym, which is a treatment approach that helps to remodel tissue.
In her spare time, Laura loves spending time playing with her three small children who are beginning to show a passion for sports. She also is an avid runner who participates in several races per year around the city of Chicago.
