I'm a holistic, multicultural therapist helping teens and adults with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, body image, and self-esteem. I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University (2018), am EMDR trained, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I support clients who have experienced single or multiple traumas in feeling like themselves again. This may involve teaching coping skills for anxiety or persistent depression or addressing feelings of hopelessness and strained relationships. I use EMDR to help clients process difficult memories and events and apply Polyvagal Theory to work with the nervous system.
I also specialize in eating disorders. My clients may find themselves consumed by thoughts of calories or trapped in a cycle of exercise compulsion. They may be unhappy with their bodies or experience frequent guilt. I help clients uncover the roots of their eating disorder and rebuild a strong sense of fulfillment. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness approaches to foster a healthier relationship with food and their bodies, alongside EMDR to address underlying trauma.
