I was born and raised in Mumbai, India. I moved to Boston in 2012 to pursue my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at Mass General. I got my doctorate from Touro College of Health Sciences here in New York. I have several years of work experience in an outpatient physical therapy beginning when I was in college in 2008, ranging from young athletes to senior citizens. I specialize in orthopedic physical therapy and will soon be certified in orthopedic clinical specialty (OCS). I am a strong proponent of evidence-based physical therapy practice. I am proficient in a wide variety of manual therapy techniques including myofascial release techniques, mulligan mobilization with movement, various joint mobilization techniques and kinesiotaping, as well as preventing injury by educating patients about biomechanics and posture, and functional re-training of muscles. I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. In my free time I like to catch up on the latest literature, exercise, and explore the NYC culinary scene with my husband.

Leena was the first person I've seen to figure out exactly what was wrong with my back and prescribe a very specific treatment plan in order to address problems that have been a source of stress for me for most of my life. I cannot recommend her more highly.
