Leslie Deutsch is an outstanding therapist, the therapist I always dreamed of having. I tried different therapists over the years and none of them I have stuck with. When a friend of mine recommended Leslie as one of the very BEST and she was absolutely correct. Working with Leslie feels like no work. She's so incredibly intuitive and has many tools under her belt that she is working with. Leslie addresses the issue at hand, coming from different angles and always make you feel safe, protected and respected. It truly feels like speaking with a nonjudgemental friend, who always has your back and who will actually give professional advice! I can't recommend Leslie Deutsch enough. She has been integral to the changes I wished to make in my life, that I now see have manifested after only a few sessions.

More about Leslie Deutsch, LCSW
I’m a psychotherapist with a practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and Old Westbury, NY. I see patients in individual therapy as well as in groups and couples or family therapy. Over the years I’ve moved more and more toward an integrative approach to psychological healing. I originally trained as a clinical social worker at Columbia University. I then pursued advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, group therapy, and supervision of the analytic process. For many years, as a therapist, supervisor, clinical instructor and training analyst, talk therapy was the mainstay of my work. However, over time, I’ve learned that sometimes pain cannot be relieved by words and understanding alone.
I’ve been continuously expanding my therapeutic repetoire as I’ve come to understand that much suffering is beyond the reach of words. So I encourage patients to explore other therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness meditation, MBSR or mindfulness based stress reduction therapy, hypnotherapy, somatic therapies, like acupuncture, and yoga.
