When I show up with a client, I bring empathy, wholeheartedness, and a commitment to build a safe and trusting relationship. I provide client-centered care that helps individuals engage in their lives in a way that feels authentic and whole. I value creating therapeutic spaces in which my clients feel that all of them is welcome – the good, the bad, the ugly, the healing, the trying, and everything in-between.
What I love most about my work is helping folks feel in order to heal. My goal for my clients is to help them live a life of value and to feel they have the tools and skills they need to “live a life worth living,” as DBT founder Marsha Linahan would say. I want my clients to know their worth, their value, and their brave, so they can live lives full of love, belonging, and acceptance. I want to give them the skills to explore, the heals to heal, and the confidence to be.
Because each client shares a unique story with unique challenges, I make sure to cater each client’s treatment to the client's specific needs. I incorporate treatment modalities that best support clients on their personal journey of healing. I’ve been blessed to work with a wide range of brave folks in my life. In the past, I’ve worked with individuals, families, and as a group facilitator providing mental health services for those struggling with substance use, pregnancy, motherhood, eating disorders, trauma, and chronic mental health.
I studied Psychology and Women’s Studies at Yeshiva University as an undergraduate and went on to receive my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
