She is a wonderful therapist! Before I saw Mrs. Mounts I was depressed, anxious and lonely. I had seen several therapists who were cognitive behaviorists. I found those therapies only a little helpful. It wasn't until I saw Mrs. Mounts that I understood why my relationships with men was going nowhere. With warmth, empathy and insight she got me through a process of understanding myself and my past so that I could make profound changes. Today I'm married to a wonderful man and expecting our first child.

Lisa Mounts is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in private practice with over 20 years of extensive clinical training and experience working with adults, adolescent and families. She is a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association and a Supervising and Training Analyst and Faculty member at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis in New York. Lisa focuses on providing comprehensive, compassionate and results oriented treatment to individuals in the U.S. and internationally.
Lisa obtained her Master’s Degree from Columbia University in Clinical Social Work before completing the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training program at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis in New York. She then went on to work and study in the United Kingdom at the Tavistock Clinic, which is internationally recognized as a world leader in pioneering mental health theories and treatments. While in London Lisa trained to be a psychoanalyst at the Institute for Psychoanalysis at the British Psychoanalytical Society. She completed her psychoanalytic training at the Los Angeles Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies.
Lisa has a private practice in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in Greenwich, Connecticut where she works with adults, adolescents and families providing psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to treat a broad range of emotional issues, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, ADHD and relationship difficulties.

Lisa Mounts is a highly trained compassionate analyst. She identifies issues rapidly and worked efficiently. I have found her intuitive nature to be extremely helpful in my treatment when I was not able to express my own fears. Her support has given me a platform from which I have been able to rediscover my strengths. She is a naturally warm and caring person, but her results come from a calm laser-like focus in her work.
