I have been in practice for 23 years assisting individuals to address their mental health issues. I believe that when one comes into counseling, they partner with the counselor to learn how to better manage their emotions and thoughts. I believe that individuals are at different stages of change and may not be ready for change when they initially enter into counseling.
I recognize that counseling can be a painful experience but that given the alternative of not addressing one's emotional pain is not the preferred option. I believe that my life experiences and education provide you with the best of both worlds.
