I am experienced in working with clients who struggle with, recurrent depressive thoughts or feelings, frequent anxiety, panic attacks, traumatic past experiences, emotional instability, feelings of overwhelming stress, and difficulty communicating with others.
I work with adults as well as children, and families, focusing on enhancing emotional awareness, learning parenting tools, and implementing healthy relationship boundaries. Life has a way of accumulating and overwhelming us, counseling is the process of gaining awareness and finding a healthy life balance once again. I work from an integrative and wellness perspective bringing in tools from different theoretical approaches. Such as multicultural and cognitive-behavioral approaches, in combination with person-centered, humanistic, and existential counseling. Within sessions, we will learn to explore and become more aware of ourselves, while practicing concrete skills.
Counseling is a process of ‘becoming’ who we want to be, and facilitating growth. It is a lifeline when we are overwhelmed and feeling out of touch with reality and ourselves. The first step is just a phone call away.
