Getting to know Danielle Cooke

Hi, I’m Danielle Cooke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I work with young adults and adults. I have an office located in Point Pleasant NJ where I offer in-person availability and virtual sessions across the state. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people in their healing journey. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating — maybe even overwhelming — but you don’t have to figure it out alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, understood, and supported as you sort through the challenges that brought you here.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I pull from evidence-based approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based perspectives. I tailor each session to you — because no two clients are the same. My style is conversational, down-to-earth, and always guided by respect for your pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, you can expect collaboration and compassion with a touch of direct honesty. I believe therapy works best when it’s both supportive and practical. Together, we’ll set goals, build coping tools, and work through patterns that no longer serve you.

I partner with Headway, a secure and trusted platform that manages insurance billing and claims so you can focus on your care. I am currently in-network with the following insurance providers through Headway: Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey Aetna Cigna Carelon Behavioral Health Quest Behavioral Health Anthem EAP Headway makes using your insurance simple by verifying your benefits, submitting claims directly to your insurance provider, and processing any copays, coinsurance, or deductible amounts. Think of Headway as my behind-the-scenes billing partner — you will continue your therapy sessions directly with me while Headway handles the insurance portion.

Danielle was my first therapist and has been my only therapist ever since! We are going on 5 years practicing together and to say i’m thankful would be an understatement. She continually helps me to evolve into the best version of myself. Finding a good therapist is a difficult journey, but it’s so important to have a proper fit. I could not recommend working with her enough!
