Margo Murray is a Licensed Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to adults, couples and adolescents. Margo has found that building a trusting and warm relationship with patients can create significant transformation. Margo Murray
Margo bases her work on psychodynamic, relational theory; looking at past patterns and unresolved hurt that may carry into present day relationships with others and the way a person relates to themself. In addition, she incorporates mindfulness and encourages a variety of self care activities between sessions.
Margo completed a two year post-graduate fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Karen Horney Clinic in conjunction with the American Institute of Psychoanalysis. She obtained her Master’s of Clinical Social work at Fordham university, completing internships working with chronically homeless populations and children of incarcerated parents. She earned her BA in psychology from the University of New Mexico with a minor in Social Welfare. Margo has worked in a variety of settings including supportive housing, community based mental health, eating disorder treatment and after school programs.
