She completed her Bachelor's degree with a focus in Social work at Northeastern Illinois University and received her Master's degree in Social Work from Dominican University-Illinois.

Maria effectively works with individuals by utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. The individual is always the top priority for Maria, and it shows in her work and her client's results.
