Marianette Abapo of Hudson Premier Physical Therapy and Sports is a compassionate and detail-oriented physical therapist serving the community of Union City since 2020. She earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Velez College in the Philippines in 2016.
Marianette has extensive experience in treating a variety of orthopedic, post-surgical, geriatric, and sports conditions. She is a certified Graston Technique practitioner, certified StickMobility instructor, and has taken an array of continuing education courses on the latest evidence-based practices.
Marianette highlights that physical therapy is a team effort consisting of the patient and physical therapist to best achieve the patient’s goals. The care she aims to provide to each individual is a holistic approach utilizing manual therapy skills, specific exercise prescription, an emphasis on patient education, and a focus on improving quality of life in a healing environment.
What is the essence of what you do?
As a physical therapist, I aim to collaborate with my patients in their rehabilitation journey by providing fast, active, and evidence based treatment techniques to ensure the most effective recovery producing pain free, improved quality of life. For me, it’s knowing how the patient stepped through our door for the first time in a bad state, then gets better, makes progress, and I get to witness how far they’ve come that makes everything all worth it.
What are your personal interests?
In my free time, I enjoy things like reading books, calligraphy, make up, cooking and music. I also enjoy volunteering at my church teaching children and working with the tech team and praise and worship team.
