As a licensed clinical psychologist, my work centers on using culturally-responsive, evidence-based care grounded in science and assessment to improve mental health, quality of life, and support resilience and wellness among my clients. Each client and I work as a team to build the cognitive and behavioral skills they need to flourish.
I have expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma with adults and I have a specific focus on the mental health needs of women across the lifespan. I practice using the evidence-based therapies in which I am trained and certified including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), gold-standard evidence-based treatments for trauma (Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR), and stress management and mindfulness practices.
I have worked with a client population from many areas of cultural diversity including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration experience, socioeconomic status, religion, disability, and first-generation students. In order to best serve the diverse population of clients I treat, I strive to ensure that psychotherapy is provided in a culturally responsive and affirming manner that focuses on the intersectional framework of the cultural identities of each individual patient.
