Great to meet you! My name is Mark Heffernan, and I’m an LCADC and LSW contracted with Phoenix Rising: Journey to Rebirth. I bring over six years of experience in co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment, along with the perspective of someone in long-term recovery. I support any client seeking guidance in their recovery journey and have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and male-identifying clients to build emotional safety, reduce shame, and deepen vulnerability. I also work with clients across the GSRM spectrum, including heterosexual and cisgender individuals exploring polyamory or nontraditional relationships. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassionate, authentic recovery support.
