Hello! I'm Mary Harris, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 13 years of experience with adolescents and adults dealing with depression, chronic illness, grief and loss, life transitions, and LGBTQ-related issues. I typically use a combination of Culturally Sensitive, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Eclectic, Interpersonal, and Supportive therapies during sessions with my clients. And since people are unique, my approach considers the whole person. I believe that therapy is a relationship between client and therapist at its core. My former clients find me to be calm, caring, and nonjudgemental. My style is collaborative - I have the expertise in mental health, but you are the expert on You! We'll work together to identify the issues that are most important to you and the kinds of changes you want to make. In our first session, I will introduce myself and ask questions about you, your life, and what brought you to take that all-important first step so that we can get to know each other and figure out if I am the right person for you.
