About Melanie Renda

Melanie received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University located in Pittsburgh, PA. She acquired her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Seton Hill University, where she was also a member of the Women’s Soccer team. Her passion for education and sports paved the way for her career. During her time as an undergraduate student, she pursued an internship with the Seton Hill athletic training staff where she assisted with the management of collegiate athlete rehabilitation. This and her own athletic background inspired her to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, specifically leading her into a passion for the outpatient setting. Since working with Spear, Melanie has been able to pursue her passion in pelvic floor physical therapy. She also has experience treating a wide population of diagnoses including orthopedics, geriatrics, cancer rehabilitation, and post-operative care. Melanie strives to help her patients create goals and return to the activities they love through collaboration and support. Melanie is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she grew her love for sports by rooting for her favorite teams. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, skiing, and traveling.
