Mindy Lupo is a licensed clinical social worker. Mindy believes in engaging in a collaborative process, working in tandem with clients to establish goals and work on them with a tailored approach. She provides a trauma-informed, social justice-minded, affirming space for patients to practice openness and explore themselves. Starting therapy can be a daunting process – from considering therapy to doing your research and finally reaching out to schedule an appointment. Mindy strives to make the experience comfortable and productive for all patients. She aims to support patients so they can move past barriers and become the best version of themselves. During sessions with Mindy, patients can expect genuine care and concern. She strives to communicate clearly, problem-solve, and bring a lightness and sense of humor.
Mindy uses a whole host of modalities and treatment approaches: cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing, person-centered, psychodynamic, solution-focused, and strength-based therapies. Since she began working with patients in 2009, she’s gained experience treating a wide variety of mental illnesses and concerns. She is comfortable working with patients 13 and up. In her spare time, Mindy enjoys traveling, cooking, live music, and spending time with friends and family. Mindy likes that SohoMD connects her with a diverse population of patients, so she can help them work on a wide variety of concerns.
