I believe that, as in other areas of healthcare, taking an integrative approach to mental health can help us become more attuned to our wants and needs, and allow us to examine who we are and how we got here in a multitude of ways. I approach therapy from a standpoint of non-judgemental curiosity. You are the expert in your own life, and I am committed to walking the path toward happiness and understanding with you.
I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults and adolescents, and have experience seeing patients with relationship issues, job stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I practice therapy through a social justice lens and from a platform of deep compassion and empathy. I want to know and share in the experiences that have moved you — the good and the bad.
I have a Master's in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Sarah Lawrence College. I am pursuing a certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Training Institute of Mental Health and completed a year-long internship with the National Eating Disorders Association.
