Hi, my name is Michael Avila. I am an LCSW with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Lehman College, CUNY, and I have worked with adults and teenagers for over 15 years. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, providing one-on-one psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy. I started Bright Minds Therapy LLC with the goal of helping each client reach their peak best self. The name stems from many of the meditation practices that I use and teach to assist clients in learning about their trauma and manifesting the best version of themselves.
