Michael has been an amazing therapist for me. He puts you at ease right away while also making you feel safe and at home while in his office. In just two sessions he has already begun changing my life by giving me the tools I needed to cope and recover from my severe panic attacks/anxiety. For anybody that's nervous about going to a therapist for the first time, I highly recommend Michael!

My credentials include a Master's Degree in Adult Education with an emphasis on Training & Staff Development from the University of South Florida, and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University. As an adult educator, I have taught several courses to those seeking certification in addiction counseling. I am licensed in the state of Florida [License #SW 10725]. In addition to doing my own personal healing and development work, I have gained invaluable clinical experiences including treating the mentally ill in community mental health settings, providing in-home family counseling, maintaining a private practice, and treating countless individuals struggling with chemical as well as behavioral addictions (i.e., codependency, sex love, and pornography).
During my time working as a therapist in substance abuse treatment, I acquired specialized training in relapse prevention, psychodrama, trauma, and treating a variety of personality disorders. Moreover, I developed a strong interest in group therapy. This interest evolved into a passion and the subsequent creation of a therapy group in 2012 which addressed the unique challenges experienced by men.
Through the years, I have also received specialized training in providing couples therapy. I have helped many regain a loving connection with one another. Lastly, I have had the great privilege of working as a personal development instructor, teaching experiential-based courses that help adults break free from the survival strategies formed as a child which have kept them stuck in their lives. All of my experiences as a therapist have led me to the work I do today. If you were to ask me what my truth was, I would say the following: My truth today is to be the possibility for transformational change through compassion, kindness, humor, and wisdom.
