Michael graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College in 1985. While an undergraduate student at Gettysburg, Michael played football and served as a student athletic trainer. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Beaver College in 1987. In 2008, Michael completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with Distinction from Arcadia University.
From 1987 to 1989, Michael worked for Institute for Sports Medicine in Hamilton Square, NJ where he established the first work hardening center in Mercer County. In 1989, Michael went on to serve as Director of Clinical Rehabilitation Services for WorkHab, a regional provider of physical therapy services and work hardening centers in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
As a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer, Michael worked as a post-graduate athletic trainer for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1986, the US Olympic Sports Medicine Program in Lake Placid, NY in 1989, and was a member of the spots medicine team for the 1991 Olympic Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
Prior to partnering with EXCEL, Michael was the founder and owner of Team Rehab Physical Therapy, specializing in the evaluation, treatment, and management of orthopedic, sports and work-related injuries. Michael utilizes an individualized, patient centered approach to improve performance and facilitate recovery as quickly and safely as possible. He is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). Michael has also completed Advanced Instructor Training for the Oxygen Advantage® breathing performance program, and is a certified Buteyko Breathing Method Instructor.
Outside of work, you will often find Michael with his family wandering and bike-riding along the streets, boardwalk and beaches of Ocean City, NJ.
