About Michael Q Cerullo

Michael was a founding member of Optimum Orthopedics Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation prior to joining the Professional PT family. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, he received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 1998. Michael has continued his professional education and is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Cincinnati Sports Medicine as a Sportsmetrics practitioner, is SFMA and FMSC certified by Functional Movement Systems, is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, and a Graston Technique provider. Michael takes a functional approach to evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. He uses his knowledge to find and address the sources of painful dysfunction rather than just treating the pain itself. As both a rehabilitation and conditioning specialist, he has had the opportunity to work with professional, collegiate, and high school athletes alike. Michael, a former collegiate athlete, draws on his vast personal, educational, and clinical experiences to challenge each patient and athlete during the rehabilitation process to help them achieve their goals. Michael and his family reside in River Edge, NJ. When not treating patients, he stays active by playing softball, biking, golf, tennis, and hiking with his friends and family.
