Dr. Sheets is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in NY State. She has experience with clinical work and research work. Dr. Sheets received her Ph.D. from Hofstra University in 2009. In private practice Dr. Sheets see patients who are new to treatment as well as those who have tried with other therapists with varying degrees of success.
The relationship formed with the therapist is the most crucial element of psychotherapy. Dr. Sheets tries to create a warm and open-minded environment where one can feel truly free to express him or herself.
If Dr. Sheets is unable to see you herself, she will refer you to a trusted colleague, in whom she has the utmost confidence. We are currently booking patients for only our Brooklyn office.

While this was an introductory visit and finding a therapist that is able to work with you to make you feel comfortable, as this is often difficult, but she definitely made me feel at ease. I was never under any extra pressure or judgment, but kept you on track by basic questions and affirmations. Look forward to more visits with her.

Dr. Rogers was excellent. Not only did she make me feel comfortable, but she also has history working with those with PTSD, which helped my sessions with her. She is attentive and very caring. I am always at ease with her and never feel the need to withhold information from her.

Dr Sheets is deeply insightful, very sincere and proactive. She is supportive and provides the tools one requires and is very helpful in using them correctly. I have found her to be deeply committed to my welfare and wellbeing. She is always available and is one of the few professionals who is always happy to help and for which nothing is too much trouble.

There are some doctors with whom you just have a mind-meld, an immediate sense of connection and unity of purpose. Michelle Sheets is such a doctor. She is a warm, welcoming professional at the top of her craft, consistently offering me compassionate, pragmatic, broad-ranging help. Dr. Sheets knows CBT exceedingly well, but consistently expands upon it and augments it, sensitively and skillfully tailoring her treatment to my specific needs and goals. Over three years of therapy, she has become very attuned to my vulnerabilities and insecurities, many unspoken, quite effectively helping me confront and defeat them with each session. An analyst of the highest order.
