Hi, I'm Misty Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a Native Texan and a graduate of Texas Tech University. I received my Master's degree, while living in Kentucky, from Asbury Theological Seminary. I work with young children ages 5-10 using play therapy, as well as adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, trauma, unresolved conflict, grief, or career transitions. Constant struggle can be overwhelming; talking with a therapist can help. I am committed to treating clients with respect and compassion.
My counseling approach combines person-centered, narrative, psychodynamic, mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral styles of counseling. I am also trained in play therapy. Everyone is unique, therefore I work to tailor the counseling approach to meet specific needs. My hope is for clients to become more self-aware, and find helpful ways to bring about positive change.
It takes courage to be vulnerable, and a level of tolerance to talk openly. But I believe this work can bring resolution and more peace. Let's work on what is blocking you from a more "full" life. If you are ready to start a new path, let's move ahead.
