Dr. Monica is the best physical therapist I’ve ever met. My 7-year-old daughter used to toe walk for quite a long time and during the past several years we visited different physical therapists but there were no any noticeable improvements. Although Dr. Monica’s patients are mainly adults, she has extensive experience with children too. Before we even started, she called our insurance company herself and then explained to me our coverage for physical therapy in all the details, which I really appreciated. During our first appointment she thoroughly asked about my daughter’s medical history and condition and for the second appointment she came up with a well-thought therapy strategy. During the entire course she took time to explain every procedure and exercise from the scientific point of view and why it was needed. I was really impressed how knowledgeable and professional she is. What was important to me, from the very first visit Dr. Monica was focused on building a trustful relationship with her little patient and no wonder that my daughter loved her sessions. I was warned that sometimes the treatment of toe walking might take a year or even longer, but in our case just in about 4 months my daughter had such a significant progress that her orthopedist could hardly believe it! After we finished the full course of physical therapy, Dr. Monica made a list of individual exercises for my daughter to keep doing at home. Besides that, the ladies at the reception are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I am very happy that we found such a wonderful physical therapist as Dr. Monica and highly recommend her services!

Excellent all around. Dr. Aswani took immediate interest in my condition and helped me greatly. I was getting treatment for chronic migraine as related to neck pain. She talked with my other doctors and teamed up with them to get my life back on track after a debilitating month long migraine. She even popped my tail bone back in place after a tumble down a staircase. I highly recommend Dr. Aswani.

Bio
Dr. Monica Aswani is a doctor of physical therapy who practices at Pulse NYC's midtown location. She received her doctor of physical therapy degree from Seton Hall University with Summa Cum Laude honors. In addition to graduating at the top of her class, she also received awards for research and clinical excellence upon graduating with her doctoral degree.
Dr. Aswani has a wide variety of clinical experience ranging from her work experience in outpatient sports medicine centers, hospitals, sub-acute centers, gyms, schools, and home care. She has worked with diverse populations including olympic and pro athletes, orthopedic, pediatric, neurological and geriatric clientele. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and works closely with all other health care specialists involved in a patient's care.
Dr. Aswani’s focus is on using therapeutic modalities to relieve pain and promote healing along with manual techniques and corrective exercises for neuro-muscular re-education and the prevention of re-injury in the treatment of clients experiencing various musculoskeletal and neurological ailments. She is known for her compassion.
Dr. Aswani works with pediatric and geriatric home care clientele outside of her time at Pulse NYC. She enjoys an active lifestyle, dancing, and traveling.

I booked my first appointment with Monica through ZocDoc but continued to see her 3 times a week for 7 months during rehab after a very bad shoulder surgery. Because I spent so much time working with Monica and in total had nearly 70+ appointments, I have a very good feel for how she runs her business. Monica is incredibly knowledgeable, very thorough, and goes out of her way to ensure her patients receive the best care. She is always on time and is very accessible through email during the day. I was also very impressed with her knowledge of insurance plans and willingness to walk me through all my options available - something that is unfortunately extremely rare within the healthcare profession. Overall, I highly, highly recommend Monica.

I think Monica is great at PT and she seems to really enjoy her work which is always a pleasure to see. She has helped me calm an aching knee. The only thing is if you need more of a fitness circuit training situation with lots of equipment this probably won't work for you.

Monica is attentive, responsive, and remarkably personable. I learned more about treating my condition than I ever did with other medical professionals I have seen. She was also excellent about making sure my insurance covered her services. Highly recommend!
