Myra King-Kerge, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who approaches psychotherapy with a holistic mindset. She believes strongly in a mind-body connection and works with each person to create an awareness, peace, and understanding with that relationship. She is aware that the same thought and interpersonal patterns that help us survive and adapt to struggles in our lives can also diminish our capacity to form relationships with ourselves and others, regulate our emotions, or experience pleasure. All of Myra’s work is informed by a dedication to anti-oppressive systems and incorporates mindfulness, compassion, and humor into it.
Myra received her master’s degree from Fordham University and has previously worked in various capacities in public health and human service agencies. She has a deep passion for grief care and existential support, drawing from end-of-life care experience. Myra is a Health at Every Size (HAES) practitioner and believes in creating safe spaces and access to healthcare without weight stigma. Her therapeutic framework also encompasses LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
