I have experience working with young adults and adults from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual, gender identities and backgrounds with a wide range of mental health concerns. Although I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds, I am particularly excited about working with emerging adults, LGBTQIA+, people who identify as being disabled, and neurodivergent folx. Many of my clients are in a state of adjustment and often just need someone to help them through new and emerging life obstacles.
As a therapist, I strive to create a welcoming environment for all that walk through the door. I aim for the client to feel like the expert in the room, as they are the person that understands themselves the best. I utilize feminist, multicultural, and affirming approaches to help one better understand themselves and how they deal with day-to-day life.
Deciding to seek mental health support is a difficult and daunting task. Therapy is not a one size fits all answer, throughout our time together we will be able to discover different techniques that fit you as an individual. I will ensure that you have control of your own therapy, I will go at your own pace and remind you to breath when needed.
