Getting to know Nidhi Patani

Nidhi received her Master’s degree in Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University. She likes to use an integrative approach to counseling to promote healing on all levels: emotional, physical and spiritual with the aim to create a healthy balance between mind, body and spirit. She incorporates the fundamentals of traditional psychotherapy techniques like solution focused brief therapy and narrative counseling as well as holistic methods. She has a deep interest in multicultural counseling, women’s issues, child and adolescent counseling and greatly enjoys working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Her past experience includes working with children as a teacher, school counselor, mental health coordinator at a group home working with people who have chronic mental illness and a bilingual advocate for victims of domestic violence. She has acquired training in Ericksonian Hypotherapy, Neuro Linguistic programming and Reiki and believes that learning is a life long process. Besides English she can speak Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Punjabi.
