Nishi received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York University, where she assisted in research on the effects of exercise interventions in individuals with diabetes. She earned her Bachelor's in Physical Therapy from King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM Hospital) in Mumbai, India. While in India, she completed a cross-sectional survey studying the quality of life in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
During her time in India, Nishi worked with a diverse patient population, addressing mechanical pain as well as sports-specific injury rehabilitation and prevention. She also treated cardiopulmonary and neurological impairments across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
Motivated by her family history of Ankylosing Spondylitis, Nishi chose to become a physical therapist to help improve the quality of life and well-being of those affected. She believes that patient-centric, holistic rehabilitation is essential for meaningful recovery. In her free time, she enjoys playing cricket, swimming, cooking, traveling, and watching Bollywood movies.
