Nishi received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York University, where she assisted in research on the effects of exercise interventions in individuals with diabetes. She earned her Bachelor's in Physical Therapy from King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM Hospital) in Mumbai, India.
