My name is Noeman Samuels, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) based in LA, California. I have a doctorate in psychology with 30 years of experience. I work with clients in person as well as via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in depression, life challenges, trauma and grief using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients make progress and start feeling better.
My approach
My approach to therapy can vary based on the needs of the client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, as both modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality, and allow us to work together to chart a path forward.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach is a good fit for adults, seniors, couples and families who may be dealing with the challenges of life. This often takes the form of anxiety, trauma, depression, stress and grief. I work to help clients navigate these challenges and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. I have traveled to over 90 countries and am multilingual. I like to incorporate all the wisdom of various cultures into my practice.
My communication style
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and compassionate. I want my clients to feel comfortable to open up and talk with me about anything. I am a good listener without judgement.
