Life presents many challenges that we encounter through out each developmental stage. It is best to face these challenges with support and encouragement. My treatment approach is client-centered and focuses on creating a safe space while empowering my clients. I do not pretend to be a subject matter expert on your life. However, I do intend to walk along side of you to help you process and cope with life's challenges. I specialize in depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, anger management, and stress management. I use several research based interventions to include CBT, ACT, Solution- Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to teach skills, bring self-awareness, and create behavioral change. I served 20 years in the U.S. Army and earned a Masters in Counseling in 2015 at Wayland Baptist University. In 2019, I earned a Masters in Developmental Psychology at Walden University. I've worked with the local mental health authority helping families and in the foster care system providing support to foster parents.
