You will be met with a respectful, non-judgmental attitude, allowing for an environment where you can openly express yourself without fear of criticism or rejection. I recognize, respect, and actively support others of diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences. I will be sensitive to cultural differences, adapting a flexible therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. I greatly value my volunteer work in supporting “troubled” male teens. Under my leadership as former owner of an international EAP program, we received certification as a small, woman-owned business. As a Board member, I remain committed to my volunteer work with the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber, supporting diverse business leaders on their path to success. I have 30+ years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults on a wide range of presenting issues. I hold a Master’s in Psychology from the University of South Alabama. As a DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional, I have extensive experience in assessment and therapeutic support for those struggling with substance misuse or addiction. As a former adjunct professor in Psychology, I remain committed to staying up-to-date with research and best practices. My approach is largely cognitive-behavioral; at times, my approach is simply didactic. A personalized, goal-directed plan will be collaboratively developed at the first session. Welcome!
