I have to say that his thoughtfulness and feedback have been extremely instrumental in my mental health journey. Learning to be mindful and giving me goals to work towards is what I have needed but he is also willing to ask questions and give outside perspective when necessary.

Outstanding! Life Changing! I have nothing but accolades for Dr. Meltzer! On the first visit I was immediately struck by his kind and gentle demeanor. As we began to discuss my issues and the form of therapy he advised, it became apparent that he was totally committed to establishing a collaborative approach and that CBT was the therapy for me. He presented a professional, yet compassionate explanation of the process we would use. It has been an incredible therapy...the trust and sincerity I share with Dr. Meltzer has enabled me to make amazing strides in my well being. I am deeply indebted to him for enabling me to make great strides in creating a happy and healthy life. I strongly recommend him to anyone who sincerely wants to understand and change the patterns of their life that inhibit them from finding true happiness and contentment.

My experience of Dr. Meltzer's council has always been a good one. Dr. Meltzer is kind, compassionate, and empathetic and these qualities are quite evident in the delivery of his expertise. From the beginning of my work with Dr. Meltzer to present I have grown a great deal and he certainly has played an integral role in my now sustained peace and overall well being. I would highly recommend Dr. Meltzer to anyone who is looking for warmth, wisdom, and professionalism of the highest grade.

Dr. Meltzer is attentive, compassionate, and remarkably objective.
His approach is dynamic and flexible, and sufficiently responds to my individual needs. I have been undergoing treatment with Dr. Meltzer for several months; he is consistently attuned, and asks insightful inquiry questions. His presence is personable, patient, and calm; he promotes a sense of emotional safety in psychotherapy, and this has allowed me to address several complex concerns. He seems genuinely invested in my well-being and committed to helping me realize and obtain treatment goals. Dr. Meltzer is an asset to the profession, as well as individuals in his care.

I have had several sessions with Dr. Meltzer. From the beginning, I was immediately impressed by his warm and welcoming presence. He listened attentively and responded in a gentle, compassionate manner. His reflections are caring and encouraging...offering a true sense of understanding of my concerns and the issues I have. His observations and suggestions have helped empower me and enlighten me... making me more aware and mindful. I can now better respond with a more positive approach to any circumstance that occurs. I feel I am in a "safe" place where I could explore my fears and anxieties with a trusted companion. I have definitely felt a new and improved sense of well being and I continue look forward to continuing my "work" with him, I am confident that he will be a most supportive guide on my journey toward a peaceful and happy life.

Dr. Meltzer has been my psychologist for several years, and, as always, his care is outstanding.
In terms of the level and quality of care provided, Dr. Meltzer is second to none. I had numerous therapists prior to seeing Dr. Meltzer, and none were able to grasp the nuances of my illness and to treat my illness with compassion and understanding. As a direct result of Dr. Meltzer's type of therapy, I have regained a quality of life I did not think possible. Dr. Meltzer has helped me approach problems with my relationships, as well as work and school stress, in a compassionate and accepting manner. Dr. Meltzer has never judged me or my actions taken when I have been at my worst. In fact, due in part to Dr. Meltzer's care, I have found the confidence to achieve many life goals. I use the skills I learned with Dr. Meltzer in my daily life, resulting in significantly improved communication in personal and professional relationships, as well as better self-care during stressful times.
Dr. Meltzer is well-educated as a clinician and is passionate about his work. I am extremely picky about my health care providers and I give Dr. Meltzer my highest recommendation.

My appointment was life changing - I was finally given a diagnosis after over 40 years of searching to find out why I acted the way I did from childhood. I must have seen over 20 therapists including Psychiatrists and all I was given was medication - no one ever gave me the diagnosis of borderline personality disorder - when the doctor took out a thick book and started asking me questions it hit me like a ton of bricks that he was describing me and even more mind blowing was that he was describing my father. Once I was diagnosed I began DPT Therapy and skills training. I had made the decision that my high powered job was toxic chaos and that it was time to get out and work on myself so that I could begin to repair the mess I made out of my marriage and the torture I put my kids through and begin to repair those relationships - I was also determined not to run away from my demons any longer and now that things were beginning to make sense to me I was able to not only embrace my diagnosis but do the hardest work on myself of my life and the difference is now that I understand the why of my actions it makes it so much easier to change!

I found Dr Meltzer to be a soft spoken, sincere therapist. He picks up on my words and my feelings. In the short few months I've been seeing him I have a greater understanding of myself.

After trying many therapists over the years I was more than skeptical about venturing into another form of therapy. I quickly, however, changed my attitude during my first visit with Dr. Meltzer. He immediately helped me focus on the behaviors I had been presenting all these years and helped me create a course in which I could recognize the negative habits and reactions I was expressing. He also identified behaviors that would allow me to become more aware, more mindful and positive. I have had a dramatic turnaround in how I process my daily interactions. No longer do I spiral into depression and anxiety. I feel empowered and confident and, as a result, I now am able to practice self-understanding and self- compassion. It has changed my life. I am so very grateful for his support and guidance.

Although I had experienced various forms of therapy in the past, none actually helped direct and enable me to become aware of my negative and self-destructive behaviors, or empower me to strengthen what positive attitudes and behaviors I did possess. Then I had a frightening anxiety attack, and my doctor recommended Dr. Meltzer and his form of therapy. I was extremely reluctant and doubtful it would have any impact on my long term depression and anxiety. How wrong I was! Immediately I felt his wisdom and compassion, grasping the dynamics of my issues and presenting a plan that would address my particular needs. I truly felt understood and supported AND eager to proceed with the process we created together. In the months I have been seeing him I have gained a greater sense of self awareness and well being. His kind and compassionate manner has empowered me and given me much peace and happiness. He is a very gentle, caring and insightful professional whom I highly recommend to everyone.

After years of various doctors there are few that really nail the profession. Dr. Meltzer is one of those doctors.
He extremely honest without being crushing and is insightful when it counts. He always remembers and asks about the details of most situations (which surprises me every time). He shows a general interest in my well-being outside of therapy after a particularly hard week. He has always been willing to work with me when my insurance has changed between jobs (which has been a lot over the last few years).
The short of it is this is one of the doctors you keep during the good times and bad. Highly, highly recommended. Hands down.

Dr. Meltzer had shown more interest in his money part (Fee) and was overly concern wheather his patient pay on time, by their insurance plan, or that their personal checks could get bounced, etc.
He took intial meeting (online appointment booking) for half of the time (45 Min) then its original (90 Min). He spent the first 15 Min or so going through payment procecdure, insurance plan, credit card (CC) information, all kind of payment related Forms he got signature for. Even though I did all online completion of my insurance information as well as "preliminary health questionnaire" to save his, or his office staff as well as my time there.
I felt like the time spent for paper work or payment related discussion should not be counted against my "consultation time" with him. What I realized is that he books his appointments for each patient one after another, without any "time break" in between, which I felt was unprofessinal being that he is a "health professional" who supposed deal with his patient on a more "personal level, with more care and undivided attention" for each such session.
The reason i am saying it here is that he has to check his watch frequently to make sure his current session ends on time because his appointment is immidiately after. This reflects he is not really putting 100% attention to the "consultaion" rather his mind is for next appouintment, which totally unacceptable.
He was quick to charge fee (100% of it) immidiately upon I left his office, without processing it or waiting to see if my insurance would pay for it. As per my undershating (after talking to him) he is a "out of network" Doctor /Health Professional he may get paid for partial fee (may be up to 80%) and I should be responsile for the balance of the fee, and so without waiting further he could charge my CC and get paid for, he asked me for my CC infiormation. However, he charged my CC 100% for my first consultation (45 mIn).
And when I called his office the next day to inquire about it (my CC charge), and didn't reach anyone on the phone, and didn't leave any message, thought I will call back again. But he did call me back and he was not only impatient to talk to me but also concluded quickly that he felt I won't be going to see him again. So we decided to cancel our follow up appointment for the following Monday (3/23 12:45 PM).
I am wondering why Dr Metlzer would accept an initial appointment of the half of time, why he would not have enough time and full attention at the session just for the consultation, and why he would waste time on talking about payment plans, etc, which could have been done (or taken care of) before or after consutation session, and not necessarily by himself but by any staff member of his office.
By the way he had no staff present in his office, and it felt like a "one man show" for everything, that he does everything on his own. Which does not stand out as a professional service environment. He even answered all of his office calls or missed calls as he did on my call the following day.
Anway, I did not get anything out of my first meeeting with him, I felt like I wasted my time travelling there, spending 45 Min there, get immidiately charged on my CC and also wasting my time onlile, prior to getting to his office by filling out all the questionnaire, insurance information, family history, and then leaving my CC info with him.
I hope Dr Meltzer would review his "practice management system" as well as his "way of dealing with his prospective clients/patient" and make it more "Prosfessional and Respectful" towards the patient and their time, as well as his own.

Although it was our initial consultation, I felt remarkably relaxed and at ease. Dr. Meltzer presents a warm, compassionate and open demeanor. I quickly felt his honesty and sincerity, and surprisingly experienced a sense of true collaboration as we discussed the process we would explore together. I look forward to gaining greater insight and understanding of the issues discussed.
