Raquel K. Perlis, B.S., P.T., was one of the first Boston-area physical therapists to embrace women’s health physical therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy. She launched her physical therapy practice in 1983 and began specializing in women’s health in 1993. Since then, she has treated thousands of women and has lectured on pelvic floor physical therapy at hospitals, schools, and other facilities. Raquel holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Chile and Boston University, and she received a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy from the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew, Raquel is prized by her patients for her warmth, openness, and multicultural understanding. She was a founding board member of Vulvodynia Matters, and she’s a member of the APTA, the Women’s Health Section of the APTA, and the National Vulvodynia Association.
