Ricky Hudson has been a physical therapist working with orthopedic and sports injuries since 2011. He has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University. Prior to joining the Athalon team in 2014, Ricky worked with a group of orthopedic surgeons, treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries before, after, and in many cases, instead of undergoing surgery.
He is a hometown product, growing up in Queens and currently living in upper Manhattan. His hobbies include playing basketball, football, and pub trivia and rooting for the Giants, Yankees, Nets and Michigan Wolverines football.
In 2015, Ricky was a one-game Jeopardy! Champion, winning over $19,000 during his run.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience I had with Mr. Hudson! I had serious injuries and, from the first visit to the last, he made sure that my physical therapy was exactly on point and precisely what I needed. Additionally, he took the time to make sure my progress was reported to my treating physician, helped me to understand what to expect from physical therapy and pushed me to exceed my goals. Additionally, the entire team was friendly, fun and positive!

I'm so glad I found Ricky! Following hip replacement surgery, my insurance was offering very few options for rehab and I chose Athalon because of convenience to my commute. Ricky took the time needed to make a plan for rehab that pushed me as far as possible and still worked for my life. He sees the whole person and takes the time to explain the what and why of the stretches and exercises. Over the weeks and months of rehab, Ricky's professionalism and sense of humor brought me to a program I can now continue and expand on my own as I continue to improve. Thank you, Dr. Hudson!
