About Ninia Agustin

Ninia Eliza Agustin earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware. During her time there, she was the fundraising chair for her class and raised money for the Foundation for Physical Therapy. She received the Chair's Award at graduation to recognize her efforts. Before attending graduate school, Ninia received her dance training and graduated Summa Cum-Laude from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program with a minor in Business Administration. There, she performed works by Alvin Ailey, Ronald K. Brown, Lar Lubovitch, and Bill T. Jones, among many other esteemed choreographers. She performed “Memoria” with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at New York City Center for their 50th Anniversary Gala. She was a member of Buglisi Dance Theatre in New York City after graduating and taught Bounding Boys I, II, and III at the Ailey School. She has performed in the United States, Spain, and Mexico. Ninia has clinical experience in pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics, specifically working with dancers. She has an interest in furthering her manual therapy skills and focusing on dance medicine. In her spare time Ninia enjoys dancing, yoga and baking.

Extremely positive. My progress in terms of improving mobility and ROM is better than I thought possible. My ortho will be surprised I'm sure! Ninia is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She's tough but only to the point of helping you reach your limit - and then to go further. The last physio I've worked with. Period!
Ninia is very dedicated, she has excellent customer service, she pays great attention to your movement and to your well being in general. She provides flexibility and accommodates your schedule. She is very knowledgeable and gives perfect instructions to each exercise so you take best advantage of your time.
I visited Spear for 2 months/twice a week. Ninia was my assigned PT. Me environment was always upbeat, positive and fun. Ninia is very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. She didn't overwhelm you with exercises and information about how the body works and muscle groups. I learned so much and am sad that I'm all healed and won't be returning.
Each visit is very professional with full attention that's very thorough and educational. The staff is always aware of patients pain and their pain limits to either continue movements or find alternate positions that will still help recovery without irritating firther. I like that some equipment is provided by staff to take home and continue PT on my own time in the privacy of my home and travels.Massages are also an option to help alleviate pain and they work hand in hand with therapist. Both options have really helped speed up my recovery.
I was referred to Ms. Augustine last year when I needed physical therapy for my knees. I was extremely pleased with the result so after recently undergoing shoulder surgery I chose her for my post surgical therapy. I was very impressed with her thorough evaluation and detailed explanation of the therapy plan we would follow and was very encouraging. We started excercises right away and she gave me other exercises to do at home in between sets. I am very happy with my progress that has impressed my surgeon. Ms. Augustin is a knowledgeable professional and warm an caring person.
An exemplary professional and first rate physical therapy experience. The quality level and care, range of expertise and availability and high quality equipment and techniques could not be better. The improvement in my injured knee through this physical therapy experience exceeds my expectations for what was possible substantially.
